Twenty years.
It’s a milestone that feels even more meaningful when you’re surrounded by the people who helped you get there.
On September 18, Dunaway Brothers had the opportunity to bring together our team, customers, business partners, friends, family, and members of our local community to celebrate 20 years of Dunaway Brothers.
And what an afternoon it was.
Our 20 Year Celebration wasn’t simply about looking back at the projects we’ve completed or the years we’ve been in business.
It was about the people.
From Two Brothers to 20 Years
Dunaway Brothers began with Jeff and Dave, a lot of hard work, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
There have been plenty of chapters since then.
We’ve grown. We’ve learned. We’ve faced difficult seasons. We’ve celebrated wins. We’ve built homes, businesses, relationships, and a team we’re incredibly proud of.
Through all of it, the foundation has remained the same.

Celebrating With the People Who Made It Possible
One of the best parts of our anniversary celebration was seeing so many different parts of the Dunaway Brothers story together in one place.
Employees who show up every day and carry our name into the field.
Customers who have trusted us with their homes and businesses.
Trade partners and vendors who have worked alongside us.
Local businesses and organizations.
Friends and family who have supported us through every season.
And members of the community who have watched Dunaway Brothers grow over the years.
Seeing everyone talking, eating, laughing, reconnecting, and celebrating together was a reminder that a business is never built by one or two people.
It takes a community.
Celebrating Our Community, Too
We were also proud to celebrate this milestone alongside members of our local business community.
Representatives from the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce, and Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce joined us as we marked this next chapter for Dunaway Brothers.
Those relationships matter to us.
Dunaway Brothers doesn’t simply work in these communities. Our employees live here. Our families grow up here. We shop here, eat here, support other local businesses here, and build relationships here.
Being part of a strong local business community has been an important part of our story, and we’re grateful to everyone who came out to recognize this milestone with us.
A Celebration Built Around Bringing People Together
Of course, a good celebration needs good food.
Guests gathered over a pig roast prepared by Chef Dustin and the Emboden’s team, along with sides, drinks, and something sweet to finish the afternoon.
But the best part wasn’t what was on the tables.
It was who was standing around them.
There were longtime relationships reconnecting, new introductions being made, stories being shared, and plenty of conversations about the last 20 years.
Those are the moments we’ll remember.

There is one group that deserves special recognition.
Our people.
Buildings don’t build themselves, and neither do companies.
The people who have worn the Dunaway Brothers name over the years have helped turn two brothers’ idea into the company it is today.
Every project completed, customer served, problem solved, early morning, long day, and extra effort became another piece of this 20-year story.
People sometimes ask how many Dunaway brothers there are.
Our answer remains the same:
Everyone who works here is our brother or sister because this company is a family.
